Prospects know odds are you really don't care a whole lot about how their day is going - so there is no need to ask.
Do, however,:
1. Introduce yourself,
2. Give the name of your company,
3. Reveal a little about what you do, and
4. Then, state the reason for your call.
Seriously, you have about 30 seconds to pique your prospects' interest so get to the point!
